Shooting incident in San Miguel, Toledo

Punta Gorda, TOLEDO. Wednesday, March 22, 2017. A Toledo family was hit by tragedy overnight Tuesday/early Wednesday morning.

31 year old Geraldo Cus was fatally wounded in a shooting incident that is nothing short of an awful accident.

Cus and his young brother, 22 year old Leonardo Cus, had gone hunting about ten miles from the village of San Miguel at sunset on Tuesday.

The brothers reportedly separated around 8 pm and somehow thereafter, a gunshot blast caught Geraldo in the chest.

With the help of family members, Geraldo Cus was extracted from the hunting area and taken to the Punta Gorda hospital for medical treatment.

Geraldo Cus was pronounced dead at 2:40 am on Wednesday.
