Punta Gorda, TOLEDO. Friday, January 12, 2018. The Premier League of Belize 2017-2018 Closing Season will commence on Saturday, January 13.

A single game is on the calendar.

According to a release, the teams that will compete in the Closing Season includes the defending champions Verdes FC, Belmopan Bandits SC, Placencia Assassins FC, Freedom Fighters FC of Toledo, Belize Defence Force FC, Wagiya FC, Police United FC and the San Pedro Pirates FC.

The official release says that it is being anticipated that the regular competition of the Closing Season will come to an end on April fifteenth, with the championship games scheduled for May 12th and 13th respectively.

The first game of the Closing Season will feature the Placencia Assassins taking on the Belmopan Bandits on Saturday night at the Michael Ashcroft Stadium in Independence Village.

The competition will then continue on Sunday 14th January, with three more games on the schedule.

In San Pedro the Pirates will take on Police United FC.

At the MCC Grounds in the Belize Defence Force will go up against The Toledo Freedom Fighters, and at the Norman Broaster Stadium in San Ignacio Town, the National defending Football Champions of Belize Verdes FC will go up against Wagiya FC.
