Three ambassadors present credentials in Belmopan
Belmopan, CAYO. Monday, February 19, 2018. Nigeria, Egypt and Pakistan have accredited ambassadors to Belize.
The three diplomats presented their credentials today to Governor General Sir Colville Young at Belize House in Belmopan.
Representing Nigeria is Ambassador Janet Omoleegho Olisa.
High Commissioner Yasser Morad Osman Hosni is representing Egypt as its top diplomat in Belize, while High Commissioner Tasawar Khan is Pakistan’s top diplomat in Belize.
According to an official communiqué from Belize House, the three diplomats each conveyed best wishes from their respective governments to the people of Belize and stated “their commitment to ensuring peaceful and prosperous diplomatic relations with Belize.”
For his part, Belize’s Head of State, Sir Colville, “warmly welcomed each of the diplomats and expressed that Belize shares their same interests in diplomatic relations and cooperation,” according to the official communiqué.
The Federal Republic of Nigeria, commonly referred to as Nigeria, is in West Africa, bordering Benin in the west, Chad and Cameroon in the east, and Niger in the north.
The Arab Republic of Egypt, is a transcontinental, Mediterranean country spanning the northeast corner of Africa and southwest corner of Asia by a land bridge formed by the Sinai Peninsula.
The Islamic Republic of Pakistan is a country in South Asia. It is the fifth-most populous country.
