Belmopan businessman shot in San Ignacio

Belmopan, CAYO. Tuesday, December 5, 2017. Police in San Ignacio are investigating a shooting incident that has left a Belmopan businessman hospitalized.
Russel Hyde, Jr, 24 years old, was shot multiple times to the body on Monday night, December 4, 2017.
Police say that they received reports of a shooting incident around 7:45 pm at a meat shop on George Price Avenue in San Ignacio Town.
Authorities say their preliminary investigation shows that Hyde was approached by a man who fired several shots, hitting Hyde multiple times.
Hyde was taken first to the San Ignacio Community Hospital and later transferred to the Western Regional in Belmopan where he was listed in stable condition on Tuesday.
Police investigations continue.
