Calla Creek resident ingests pesticide, dies

A man from Calla Creek village, Cayo has died as a result of what is believed to be suicide.
Reports say that Jesus Carillo, 48, died around 8 am today, Thursday, July 11 at the San Ignacio Community Hospital.
Information received says that Carillo, who is believed to be suffering from mental illness, ingested a large amount of the pesticide Paraquat.
