Cayo Female Football tournament enters championship phase

San Ignacio, Cayo. Sunday, August 2, 2015. After thirteen weeks of competition, the finals of the Adventures Football Club Female Competition started this afternoon at the Norman Broaster Stadium in San Ignacio town.

Six teams from all over the Cayo district took part in the competition but only the top four are in the finals.

Rising Starz and Real West Strikers are battling for the championship being the first and second place teams.  In the opening match of the two-game championship series, Rising Starz jumped out to a quick 2-0 leads on goals scored in the 17th and 19th minutes of the first half.

On August 9th, the championship series will continue when in the first game at 3 pm, the two teams battling for third place will take to the pitch. Then at 5 pm, Rising Starz and Real West Strikers will battle it out to determine who takes home the championship.
