San Ignacio couple attacked by masked men
San Ignacio town, Cayo. Tuesday, September 22, 2015. A home invasion in San Ignacio town has left a couple traumatized.
Ismael Pulido, 46 and his wife Judith, 39, were accosted and attached inside their yard late on Monday night.
According to police, the couple got home around 10:55 pm on Monday and proceeded to feed their dogs.
While doing so, police say that three men wearing masks over their faces entered the Pulido’s fenced yard and attacked them.
Police say one of the masked men carried what appeared to be a shotgun and the other two had small arms resembling 9 millimeter pistols.
Ismael Pulido was hit in the head with a firearm and robbed of his own 9 millimeter pistol and $1,500 in cash.
As a result of the attack, Ismael Pulido had to get medical treatment at the San Ignacio Community Hospital for head injuries.
San Ignacio police continue to investigate this case of aggravated burglary and are asking for the public’s assistance in catching the culprits.
