Victim of traffic accident is Bullet Tree Falls taxi driver

Police have identified the victim on Wednesday night’s fatal road traffic accident on the Bullet Tree road as Adolfo Ventura, 48. 

According to police, Ventutra’s Toyota Corolla car, with taxi license plate SI D-00429 went out of control and overturned near the metal bridge at the entrance to the village.

First responders to the scene found Ventura trapped behind the steering wheel and suffering from head injuries. 

After he was freed from the wreckage, Ventura was transported to the San Ignacio community hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. 

At the time of the accident, Ventura was reportedly driving his taxi from Bullet Tree Falls village toward San Ignacio town when he apparently lost control and overturned into a ditch.
