San Ignacio, CAYO. Monday, November 9, 2015. For months now Belizean sculptor Stephen Okeke has been waging a relentless campaign to collect thousands of dollars he claims he is owed for creating the bust of Garifuna hero Thomas Vincent Ramos.

The bust was handed over to residents of Dangriga in 2014 with much fanfare amidst promises that Okeke would be paid a reported price of $30,000 to cover expenses related to the creation of the monument to TV Ramos.

But that promised payment never materialized, and so Okeke took to social media to plead his care.

Tonight, a new voice has joined the campaign to get Okeke paid for his work.

Abdul Majeed Nunez today called our Newsroom to announce that he is spearheading a bold initiative to collect the funds necessary to pay Stephen Okeke for the TV Ramos Bust.

Anyone wishing to assist Abdul Majeed Nunez in his efforts to raise thirty thousand dollars by next week can reach him at telephone number 630-3384.
