Police say that on Friday morning, businessman Nelson Hyde of Buena Vista village noticed that his brother George Hyde, Keith Dawson Haslam and a woman identified as Ruth Jones could not be located.

Police went to Buena Vista village on Friday and visited a farm in search of the three persons but did not find them.  Police say that on Saturday, based on information received, George Hyde and Ruth Jones were detained in Buena Vista village.

Police say that at the time of his detention. George Hyde allegedly confessed to them that he killed Keith Dawson Haslam because of jealousy.

The police report says that Dawson’s body was found on Sunday on a farm about 5 miles east of Buena Vista village.  The body was in an advanced state of decomposition.

An onsite post mortem examination conducted by pathologist Dr. Hugh Sanchez determined that Keith Dawson Haslam died as a result of asphyxiation due to a chop wound across the wind pipe.
