Early morning fight leaves 5 injured; 4 arrested and charged

A fight on Sunday morning in Belize City sent 5 people, including a 16 year old girl to the emergency room. 

The fight, according to police reports, happened at a party on Iguana Street Extension after 2 am Sunday. 

According to police reports, Kendra Smith, 21 and Lyvette Brown 19, went to the party as uninvited guests and proceeded to stab Saysha Moody, 18. 

Police say that Brown and Smith stabbed Moody after which a fight broke out and others intervened in the fight and were also stabbed. 

Smith sustained a cut wound to the left wrist; Moody received a cut wound to her right thumb and two  stabbed wounds to the left side of her stomach; the 16 year old was stabbed to the left upper breast, left upper shoulder, right side of head and right Leg; Brown was seen with a stab wound to the right side of her face near the temple and Darlene Adolphus, 30, sustained a cut wound to the left upper shoulder.

All of the women were treated and released from the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH). 

Police say that charges have been brought against four of the five injured persons. 

Sasha Moody and the 16 year old girl were charged with the crime of wounding.  Kendra Smith and Lyvette Brown were charged jointly for the crimes of wounding, grievous hard and use of deadly means of harm against the minor.
