Elderly man killed in road traffic accident

A man was knocked down and killed on the Phillip Goldson Highway yesterday evening.
The victim has been identified as Gregory Lopez, 75.
Police say Lopez was riding his beach cruiser bicycle from Ladyville village towards Belize City, when upon reaching near mile six on the highway; he was knocked down by a Dodge Ram pickup truck.
Lopez sustained head and body injuries and died on the spot.
