Man charged for the crime of carnal knowledge; girl is pregnant

A man has been arrested and charged for the crime of carnal knowledge.

This follows a report by a 14 year old girl who, in the company of her mother, reported that in March of this year, she went to the Belize City home of a man she knows as Edwin Pena where they had sexual intercourse. 

The girl reported that the sexual contact happened again in the months of April and May while she was living with Edwin Pena at his mother’s residents.

The 14 year old girl claims that she was examined by a doctor who confirmed that she is pregnant and she told police that Edwin Pena is the only man she had sexual intercourse with.

Police have formally arrested and charged Evin Adalid Membreno Ardon for three counts of unlawful carnal knowledge and a single count of carnal knowledge.
