Police investigate alleged carnal knowledge case; man in detention

A 56 year old man is in police detention on suspicion of having sexual intercourse with a 15 year old girl.

Police reports say that around 3:45 pm on Thursday, authorities visited a house at the corner of Nargusta Street and Central American Boulevard where they met the man and the girl. 

Police say the girl was taken to the hospital where a medical examination was conducted in the presence of her guardian. The doctor certified that the 15 year old girl was carnally known. 

Police have detained the 56 year old man pending investigation.
