Belmopan, CAYO. Sunday, December 25, 2016. Queen Elizabeth II, 90, the head of the Commonwealth, has praised the world’s unsung heroes.

In her Christmas Day message, the Queen said that these unsung heroes gave her inspiration and strength, describing them as “ordinary people doing extraordinary things.”

The Queen also touched on global events saying that even though many of problems of world seem too big to change, that small acts of goodness can make a difference.

“On our own, we cannot end wars or wipe out injustice, but the cumulative impact of thousands of small acts of goodness can be bigger than we imagine,” said Queen Elizabeth II.

The Queen’s Christmas Message for 2016 was pre-recorded for television broadcast from the Regency Room at Buckingham Palace prior to her departure for Sandringham where she traditionally spends Christmas with her family.
