San Ignacio, CAYO. Tuesday, July 17, 2018. The countrywide re-registration exercise continues into the third week.
The Elections and Boundaries Department provided an update on the process so far, reporting that as of July 14, a total of 35,951 applications have been processed across the 31 electoral constituencies.
According to the official statistics, 19,281 Belizeans went to re-register for the week of July 8 to July 14, reflecting what the official release says is “a slight increase in the number of persons applying to be registered.”
The re-registration exercise will continue until the end of August, with registering centers established in each of the electoral divisions across the nation.
At the completion of the re-registration exercise, persons who have not been registered will have to go in to the respective Election and BOundaries offices in the district towns and Cities to get registered as a voter.
