Taxi man murdered in Belmopan

Police in Belmopan are investigating the murder of a Roaring Creek resident.
Reports are that the victim, a taxi driver, has been identified as Orlando Smith, 47, also known as Ratta. Reports are that his body was found in the Maya Mopan area of Belmopan.
His taxi was reportedly retrieved from an area near the George Price Highway. Indications are that Smith’s throat was slit.
We are still awaiting official word from the police department.
