Youth busted with marijuana at his feet

Another Belizean youth has been intercepted with marijuana in his possession.

According to reports, on Saturday afternoon, police conducted a search on a passenger bus at the San Ignacio Welcome Center.

When officers reached Christian Otto Petersen, 18, a mason of Camalote village, they searched a back that was on the floor between his feet.

Police say that officers found that the bag contained two parcels of suspected Cannabis; one weighing 1,500 grams and the other 600 grams.

Petersen was taken into police custody pending drug trafficking charges.
